While researching one of my favorite areas of the country (the Ozarks),I stumbled across this really interesting historical and architectural building taking place in the small town of Lead Hill, AR. It is being built using only 13th century tools and equipment, as well as its builders dressing in era garb. They expect this undertaking will take 30 years to complete and are providing tours to individuals and groups. One of the quotes from the page states this: "At a time when environmental protection is of such concern, Ozark Medieval Fortress will provide practical lessons in sustainable building for green constructors of today."
